Curvy yoga is all about honouring the body that you bring to your mat, and how you feel during your yoga practice. It’ll help you build confidence in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment.

You’ll become more balanced and relaxed through the use of movement and breathing techniques.

Curvy Yoga is for all shapes, all sizes, and all abilities. 

Over a 6 week period, we'll work together so that you can feel rejuvenated and become more attuned to your needs.  You'll learn how to adapt yoga poses to meet the needs of your body, no matter what level of curve you have!

These classes are not about weight loss or how you should look – they're all about HOW YOU FEEL while practising yoga. Throughout this series we'll move through standing, seated, balancing and twisting poses together and always end with a much needed final relaxation. 

The benefits that you'll receive from these classes will follow you off of your mat and out into your world!

No previous yoga experience is necessary. Beginners with an open mind, a kind heart and an interest in circling with a great group of women are always welcome.

Classes are small so that you’ll receive the attention that you deserve!

Please note that these classes are for women, and anyone who identifies as a woman, only.

Olwen is a centered leader, and she guided us through each pose with a steady calmness. I also appreciated that she checked in with us during a few of the more difficult poses and provided gentle feedback about how to adjust if needed. She did this in such a way that it felt possible to really tell her if something didn’t feel right; her energy was clear about being there to help and genuinely wanting each participant to have a great experience. My body felt engaged and good throughout the class. The best way to describe a class with Olwen is that she creates a beautiful container in which to practice yoga, that is safe, engaged, and personal. I cannot recommend a class with her highly enough.

When: 7 – 8:15 pm. Thursdays, May 4, 11, 18, June 1, 8, 15, 2017. Please note that there will NOT be a class on Thursday, May 25. 

Where: Awaken Wellness Centre at 420 Weber Street North, 2nd floor, Waterloo ON N2L 4E7

420 Weber St. N. is a white building across the street from St. David Catholic Secondary School. Closest major intersection is King St. N. and Weber St. N.

Please note that the 2nd floor can only be accessed by climbing approx. 10 steps. 

There is plenty of free parking.
